Position Overview
Position Type: Full-time
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented VOB (Verification of Benefits) Specialist to join our team. The VOB Specialist will be responsible for verifying patient insurance benefits, ensuring that all necessary information is accurately gathered and documented. This role is essential in ensuring that claims are submitted correctly and that patients are informed of their coverage details.
Key Responsibilities
Verification of Benefits: Accurately verify patient insurance benefits and eligibility, ensuring that all necessary details are gathered and documented.
Communication: Interact with insurance companies and patients to obtain and clarify benefit information.
Documentation: Maintain comprehensive records of benefit verification processes and results.
Claims Preparation: Ensure that all benefit information is accurately reflected in claims submissions.
Follow-up: Follow up with insurance companies and patients as needed to resolve any discrepancies or issues related to benefits verification.
Compliance: Stay updated on insurance policies and regulations to ensure accurate benefit verification and compliance.
Reporting: Provide regular updates and reports on the status of benefit verifications and any issues encountered.
Qualifications
Education: High school diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or a related field preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in benefits verification or a related role within a healthcare setting.
Knowledge: In-depth understanding of insurance benefit verification processes and healthcare regulations.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with insurance companies and patients.
Proficiency in benefits verification software and Microsoft Office applications.
