Position Overview

Position Type: Full-time

We are seeking a detail-oriented Payment Posting Specialist to join our team. The Payment Posting Specialist will be responsible for accurately posting payments received from insurance companies and patients to their respective accounts. This role is crucial in ensuring that payment records are correct and that discrepancies are resolved in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Payment Posting: Accurately post payments from insurance companies and patients to the appropriate accounts, ensuring accurate allocation of funds.

  • Payment Reconciliation: Reconcile payment batches and resolve any discrepancies between payments received and posted.

  • Claim Adjustments: Make necessary adjustments to patient accounts based on payment information and insurance explanations of benefits (EOBs).

  • Denial Management: Identify and address issues related to denied or rejected payments, working to resolve discrepancies and ensure accurate billing.

  • Reporting: Generate and review reports related to payment postings, account balances, and payment discrepancies.

  • Documentation: Maintain detailed records of all payment postings and adjustments, ensuring compliance with internal policies and procedures.

  • Communication: Collaborate with internal teams and communicate effectively with patients and insurance companies to resolve payment-related issues.

Qualifications
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in payment posting, medical billing, or accounting within a healthcare setting.

  • Knowledge: Understanding of payment posting procedures, insurance EOBs, and healthcare billing regulations.

  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.

  • Proficiency in payment posting software, medical billing systems, and Microsoft Office applications.

Working Hours: 6 PM to 3 AM Pakistan Time.
